Version 0.2.1 behavior is documented here. Thesupport record separates local verification frompublished MoonX behavior; moonx examples use registry releases.
Translate, squeeze, or delete bytes read from stdin:
Options: -d delete SET1 bytes, -s squeeze repeats, and -c/-Ccomplement SET1. -t truncates SET1 to SET2's length. Sets support escapes(\n, \t, \123), byteranges, C-locale character and equivalence classes, and [CHAR*COUNT] orSET2-filling [CHAR*] repetition. Operates on raw bytes with C-locale rules;locale data beyond that profile is not implemented. The command does notrewrite environment locale variables.
Standalone --version prints exactly tr 0.2.1 followed by onenewline. Standalone --help starts with Usage: tr, lists bothmetadata options, and ends with a newline. Both write to stdout, leave stdinunread, and exit with status 0. Exact-version publication and verificationremain recorded separately in the support record.
